Selling Books

This is about the children who sell books to the tourists. Many of these children do not have parents. They are orphans. They must learn how to live by themselves. They do not have home, but the first school of children is home and family. they should be sent to school and belived that they can do, and they would love to do,but like this child, they must make money to buy food. They cannot go school like other children. They do not have a happy family life. They only speak a little English to foreigners to sell books. They do not have much food to eat, and they need many things to live as other children.

Mother

This drawing is about a woman with her baby. She is crying as she holds her baby in her arms. She worries about her baby. If she died, who would care for her child? No one wants to talk to her. They look down on her, because she has AIDS. She does not know where to go, so she just sits with disappointment.

Adult

This drawing is about rich young Khmer people. They do not care so much about their studies. They have a nice clothes, motorbike, money, and live in the modern world. They do not understand how the poor people live. They have an easy life, not like the poor.

Bad Environment

This drawing shows a polluted environment. The family does not understand about a clean environment. They throw garbage anywhere they want. Into the water, or on the ground. They drain the dirty water into the clean water they use everyday. They burn garbage, and plastic. They do not keep their garbage in the right place. Meanwhile, they getting sick.

Good Environment

This is a drawing about a clean environment. A clean environment is very important for everyone. These people understand how to keep their environment clean. They keep their garbage in the right place. They know how to keep their environment clean. All the trees and everything look clean and fresh. The people will grow to be healthy and strong.
